Because Nintendo puts games in consumer pockets with games & watches, gamers have searched for ideal cellular gaming machines. From Nintendo Game Boy to Gear Game Sega Advances to Nvidia Shield and Nintendo Switch, we have seen the same basic idea played over and over again. The next entry in the category of this device comes from Qualcomm and Razer. On the one hand we have a Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 game platform, “new category game device” – on the other hand, we have a device built with all the best bits of the platform in mind, made by razer.

Qualcomm wants to show off the strength of their latest generation and technology, so they have created a “platform” that can be used by producers to jump to futuristic gaming devices with minimal efforts. Razer is the first stepping into a plate with an effort that has produced a Gaming Gaming Developer Kit Snapdragon G3X.

“Kit developer” in this case is hardware – made only for developers. It looks like a handheld gaming device, running Android, but it’s not made for average consumers. It’s not like Nvidia’s time making the first shield. It’s more like every time Qualcomm has created a “developer kit” device so that the developer can get the technology that controls Qualcomm they will demand from producers in the near future.

Dev Kit.

Gaming Developer Kit Snapdragon G3X is a handheld gaming device with an OLED HD + Full + 6.65 inch display with a refresh speed of up to 120Hz and 10-bit HDR. This device is powered by the Chipdragon G3X chipset and represents all the main features and capabilities of the Gaming Snapdragon G3X platform.

This device has 5G mmwave connectivity (with the right SIM card, of course), USB-C for accessories, USB-C compatibility with DisplayPort (to HDMI) with support for 4K HDR output (on a larger display).

There is a webcam FHD 1080p facing forward (5MP), and a set of hardware and touch screen controls. You will find the XYAB control button on the right, along with the hardware start button, and both select and menu on the left with a cross bearing. There are two joysticks, and the two front facing speakers are supported by Snapdragon Sound Technology.

In it there is a “advanced haptics” from Lofelt – with a special haptics machine so you will feel all combined. This device has support for all gaming features developed by the most updated Qualcomm such as Qualcomm Touch Touch Game (Touch Refresh), Qualcomm Game Color Plus, Qualcomm Smooter Game, and Qualcomm FastConnect Subsystem with WiFi 6E.

How can I get it?

If you are not a game developer, you might want to ask: Why should I care about this device and this game platform? Qualcomm will not release a developer kit to the general public. Instead, the developer will get the device so that the next generation of cellular games can be developed, and the next generation streaming experience can be imagined.
